Good sleep is the foundation of a happy baby — and a happy parent. Here’s what every caregiver should know.
From the very first feed to family meals, every stage of feeding shapes your child’s relationship with food.
Breastmilk or formula provides everything baby needs. Feed on demand — newborns typically nurse 8–12 times in 24 hours.
Introduce single-ingredient purees and soft finger foods. Iron-rich options like avocado, banana, and well-cooked vegetables are great starters.
Most babies can join family meals with modified textures. Introduce variety early — flavor preferences are forming now.
Every child develops at their own pace. These are general guides — not deadlines. If you have concerns, your pediatrician is your best resource.
Lifts head during tummy time, smiles socially, follows objects with eyes, coos and gurgles.
Rolls in both directions, sits with support, reaches for toys, recognizes familiar faces.
Pulls to stand, crawls, says first words, plays peek-a-boo, may take first steps.
Walks confidently, combines 2 words, follows simple instructions, begins pretend play.
A few habits, applied consistently, prevent the vast majority of childhood accidents.

You can start tummy time from day one — even just 1–2 minutes at a time, several times a day, while baby is awake and you’re watching. Build up to 15–30 minutes total per day by 3 months. It strengthens neck, shoulder, and core muscles, and is linked to earlier rolling and crawling.
Look at the outputs more than the inputs: 6+ wet diapers a day, regular bowel movements, steady weight gain, and a baby who’s content between feeds. Cluster feeding and growth spurts are normal — they don’t mean you’re producing too little.
The safest practice is rear-facing for as long as your seat’s height and weight limits allow — often until age 2 or beyond. Rear-facing seats are dramatically safer in crashes because they cradle the baby’s head and neck. Check your specific car seat’s manual.
Responding to a young baby’s cries doesn’t ‘spoil’ them — it builds secure attachment. For very young infants (under 4 months), respond promptly. For older babies, brief pauses to see if they self-settle can be appropriate, but every family’s approach is personal. Trust your instincts.
Cool (not frozen) teething rings, a clean damp washcloth chilled in the fridge, gentle gum massage with a clean finger, and lots of cuddles. Signs of teething include drooling, gum chewing, and irritability — but high fever or diarrhea usually points to something else, so check with your doctor if those appear.
If breastfeeding, many experts suggest waiting 3–4 weeks until feeding is well established. Pacifiers at sleep are linked to lower SIDS risk in the first year. Comfort items (small lovey or blanket) are generally safe to introduce around 12 months — never before, due to suffocation risk.
A pushchair (รถเข็นเด็กคันใหญ่) is a full-size stroller — sturdier, more padded, often with a reclining seat suitable from newborn. A buggy (รถเข็นเด็กคันเล็ก) is a compact, lightweight stroller best from 6+ months when baby has head control — great for travel and quick errands. Many families use both at different stages.
Every parent has questions. Whether it’s choosing your first car seat, finding a pushchair that fits your lifestyle, or just needing someone to talk through the options — our team is happy to help.
